Ted’s Takeaways
  • Koh Space in Bophut is the best coworking on the island at 6,000 baht per month
  • Hotel WiFi is unreliable for work — get a dedicated space or a local SIM
  • AIS Traveller SIM gives unlimited data for 599 baht per 30 days

Why Coworking Beats Your Hotel Room

I spent my first year on Koh Samui working from hotel desks, poolside daybeds, and coffee shops with unreliable WiFi. The productivity loss was real.

Koh Space (Bophut)

The best coworking on the island. Located in Fisherman's Village with fast fibre, standing desks, and private call rooms. Daily passes are 500 baht, monthly is 6,000.

Ted's Tip

Book the corner desk on the second floor. Best natural light and furthest from the entrance.

The Hive (Chaweng)

Newer space near Central Festival. More corporate feel, slightly faster internet. Monthly rates are 8,000 baht but include printing and meeting room hours.

Internet and Connectivity

Thailand's internet infrastructure is surprisingly good. The island runs on fibre from TOT and 3BB, and most coworking spaces pull 100–300 Mbps.

Ted's Tip

AIS Traveller SIM is the best value for digital nomads. 30-day unlimited data plan for 599 baht at the airport.
